Cleaning up – CLOSED

We cleaned up our wardrobe a couple of days ago, separating them into different piles. The supposedly easy task turned out to be not that easy! Some clothes are of course easy to be put away. Store-bought clothes who were ripped, stained, or damaged beyond repair, they were put together to be thrown away later after I saved all the buttons, zippers, or everything else that could be saved from them. There were also store bought clothes who have became too small, we saved them to be brought to the thrift store later.

The hardest part was all the damaged, but handmade clothes, especially Sidra’s. There was no other way but to throw them away, but it really broke my heart to have to rip all the buttons off of them. I know every details of these clothes, every reason why I decided to make them, and every memories making them and then presenting them to Sidra. His reaction to them, where and when he wore them, and how fast he then outgrew them.

It’s the first time I have to do something like these. It kinda hurts, but I guess it is a part of life. That everything will come to an end.

Now, now, that’s some deep philosophical talk about some clothes. Clothes are just clothes. When they’re not good anymore, we don’t wear them again. I’m trying to accept that.

That left me with Sidra’s handmade clothes who are too small but still in good condition. I couldn’t throw them away, but I also don’t have the heart to bring them to the thrift store. What am I supposed to do with them?

A giveaway!

I hope by giving them away, they will have another chance to be worn and hopefully loved by another little boy somewhere in the world. However, I’m sorry that I can’t cover the shipping fee for these items, because they were a bit too much for all of these. I will combine shipping fee if you want more than one item.

Please click the number to read the sewing post on these items:
(1), (2) jacket only, (3) jacket only, (4) shirt only, (5), (6), (7), (8)
All clothes are in good condition with (5) winter cape may need laundering. Additionally, (8) collarless suit was only worn once and in a very good condition.

update: All is taken now. Thank you to Mary P., Kelley G., Marilyn, and ad!

These clothes will fit a boy with these measurements: height: 100-110 cm, bust: 58 cm, waist: 51 cm, and hip: 60 cm. So, if you have or know a little boy with these measurements and you would like to have these items, please leave a comment stating which one you’d like to have. I will then contact you for shipping details and fee.

If you have a Krrb account, you can also visit my corner here to see all the stuff and contact me there. Krrb is a place to buy, sell, trade, borrow or give to your neighbors — locally and in-person. I found it via Burdastyle.

That’s all! For now, I guess… because next year I might have to do something like this again (T_T)
