That’s me, standing in front of my house under the snow rain at 10:30 pm, grinning from ear to ear. You can’t blame me because it’s the first snow I’ve experienced since moving to Japan!
Oh sure, I’ve had my first encounter with snow before in Suwako, but it sure feels different when the snow is there when I open my front door. Everything is so white and quiet, there’s nobody outside (of course!), but there are some footprints here and there, getting fainter while the snow is falling. The owners have gone somewhere else, but the tracks stay just for a while.
My dear husband was there, holding a snow-covered umbrella in one hand, and the camera in another hand, fulfilling his wife’s request to capture the magical moment of first time. Because first time of everything is always a magical moment.
i’m glad you enjoy the snow so much… want some of Minnesota’s?

Small things makes you happy! And that’s great!
SO NICE~! well, i like the “scratches” near the lamp post. Was the picture taken from a window? Also, great smiles you have!!
I like the scratches too, it is something new for me! My husband took the picture while standing in front of the door, he’s such a darling. Thank you for the comment on my smile ^.^
I love the first snow of winter. And I love how this picture of you totally captures that moment. It almost looks like the snow is still falling.

hihi.. welcome to my world. We have snow here in Berlin since Dec 29th. everyday it is snowing more and more and more, even my grandmother never experienced so much snow..
I love the silence that comes over that big city, that seems to be always in a hurry. everything looks so pure and clean (exept those footprints here and there ;)) this silence is nice and somehow creepy.. but more beautiful
have fun in the snow

“Because first time of everything is a beautiful moment.”
Beautiful thoughts. Thank you.
I’d be grinning, too! We never see snow where I live (in Florida.)
