Weekend, January 2013

It’s two weeks into 2013 now and we had our first snow yesterday! Coming from a tropical country, I’m still very excited everytime there’s a snowfall. The windows in our old apartment were frosted so I couldn’t enjoy snowing without opening the window, but here in the new house the clear big windows allow me to stare outside for hours mesmerized by the snow.

While I was mesmerized, my husband kindly cooked us the yummiest meatsauce spaghetti for lunch. I then managed to cut a stretch lace top to be turned into a bra set later. Meanwhile, Sidra had a friend coming (who walked for a mile through the snowfall to come to our house) and they were happily playing together all day. It was a nice weekend indeed.

  1. Just found your blog today and how I wish I have found it earlier. Love your posts! And wow, you’re from Indonesia! Me too :) But I’ve moved to New Zealand last July. By the way, your english is so good, kak novita 😀

  2. I’m in Japan at the moment & it snowed 35cm where I was. It was absolutely amazing! Snow is a novelty for me too so I was very excited! Meanwhile back in Melbourne it’s been sweltering!!

  3. Well, I live in Chicago Illinois and so far we have only had about one inch of snow total. Every time it might snow they make a big deal about it on the news, and when I wake up there is nothing there! I’m not complaining though. I’ve had enough in my life.

    • Tokyo doesn’t have much snow either so they too make a big deal everytime it might snow 😀 This winter we had probably 3-4 false ‘alarm’ that there might be snow LOL

  4. Snow is so wonderful. I’m from the UK and we normally get some every year but it’s still a big event for me – I love it! Thanks for sharing your snowy weekend – it looked beautiful.

  5. Tropical country ladies represent! I’ve never seen snow (for real, I mean, not just in a picture) in my life.

That lace looks cute! I’m excited to see what you make with it. 😀

    • I touched my first snow 5 years ago! It was an amazing moment. Although it got old after several days having to walk carefully and taking twice as much time to go anywhere 😛

  6. It truly was amazing! Coming from a country with harsh winters, I miss snow so much! Yesterday I was running under the snowfall, enjoying every little snowflake!
Can’t wait to see your next lingerie set ✖‿✖
