Here’s Sidra in his new suit!
The trousers have thigh-length partial lining. I connected the seam allowance at the inseam using chain stitched thread.
Sidra had a blast at the graduation day yesterday, laughing and taking pictures with his friends. Some of the girls from his class were crying as if they will never meet again, but actually most of them will go to the same junior high school.
This is a picture of us in front of our old apartment before going to Sidra’s elementary school entrance ceremony. And the second picture is us in front of the house after the graduation ceremony. Everyone’s getting older now. How time flies by!

Oh my gosh, the suit is absolutely glorious! Fabulous job, lady! It’s so gorgeous! And Sidra looks so handsome! Congratulations to you on the suit and to him on graduation! Oh- I just thought of something! My tailoring teacher just showed me a trick for partial pants linings like that. He cuts the lining on the cross grain so that instead of hemming it, you can just use the selvage as the hem, if that makes sense, to avoid a bit of bulk.
That’s a good advice! I will do that next time I make lined pants. Thank you!

He is almost as tall as you now!!! Believe me when I say that I am not one easily swayed by children, but I have to say, Sidra is just darn freakin’ adorable! And that suit! Do you think you can send me some of your sewing skills to borrow for a day?

Yes they are so dramatic! Of all the sixth graders, only five people will go to different high school. And the junior high school is right in front of the elementary school 😛
