Burdastyle’s Best of 2008 and some more knitting

I just found out today that Burdastyle has published a Best of 2008 album on their photos section, and two of my creations are there! Thank you, Burdastyle!

On the other hand, I’m in the middle of two new knitting projects. Yes I’m so greedy. The first one is a scarf in this pretty pattern called Argosy and the other one is a fingerless mittens in beautiful Noro yarn. I found both pattern from Ravelry as usual.

I don’t know what I can do without the internet. These two patterns require some new knitting techniques that I’ve never tried. Like: ssk, yo, k2tog, knit one stitch below, what are these secret codes mean? But I can just put those terms in the google search box and voila!, all my problems are solved. Very convenient indeed.

These two projects are surprisingly not as difficult as they look and I really like how these two turned out so far. Can’t wait to see them finished, and I hope I won’t make mistakes along the way.

  1. Aww thank you everybody! I only do things that I enjoy :)

Katie, the scarf pattern is indeed very beautiful, isn’t it? I’m tempted to make another, but then I don’t know what I’ll do with all those scarves :)

  2. Congrats on being part of the best of show! Your work is so beautifully done, no matter what medium. You have such wonderful craftsmanship. I also enjoy seeing what you create. Thanks for sharing :). The scarf looks beautiful. My sister joined Ravelry and made me one of the lacey (like your orange one) scarves in a plum soft wool. I’m excited to receive it.
